Outdoor and wet-area fittings need the correct IP rating for where they're installed. We match the fitting to the location, not the other way around.
Larger lighting jobs, particularly ones that touch the switchboard or add new circuits, are notifiable work. A Certificate of Compliance is lodged once everything's tested.
A safety switch (RCD) should already be covering the lighting circuit in a compliant home. If it isn't, we'll flag it rather than quietly work around it.
